What separates an achiever from a failure? Certainty.
The results we achieve are as a result of the mindset system we have in place in our minds. Our mindset system is controlled by our belief system of our capabilities. It’s an endless cycle that feeds on itself to create the quality of life we have along with the quality of the results we get from all our endeavors in life.
It all starts with how much potential we believe we have. See we all have infinite potential, but the amount of potential we believe we have determines how much action we undertake to pursue whatever it is we want. The actions we do have consequence and the consequence/results reinforce our beliefs about our potential. Our beliefs then reinforce how much potential we believe we have which in turn determines how much action we take and so on and so forth.
When we believe we have little potential to do something e.g. dancing, we take little action to improve our dancing which in turn produces lousy results i.e. you are a poor dancer. This in turn reinforces your belief that you are a poor dancer which in turn makes you believe you have even smaller potential which in turn makes you take even smaller actions which result in even smaller results resulting in an even greater belief of how small your potential is. This cycle feeds itself until it destroys you. This is a disempowering mindset system.
Now think of the same dancer with a different mindset, she believes she has great potential so she takes massive action to become a better dancer which in turn yields even greater results. The great results reinforce her belief that she is a great dancer. This in turn reinforces the belief in her to be of great potential which makes her take even more action which yields even bigger results reinforcing the belief the is a great dancer which makes her believe she has even bigger potential. Which continues the cycle producing massive results. Her mindset system is empowering thereby catapulting her even higher on the ladder of success.
Notice, her potential didn’t change. It remained the same. The amount of action she took was based on how much potential she believed she had. The results she attained were as a result of the amount of actions she undertook. The results she got reinforced her belief in herself. Her belief then influenced how much potential she believed she had in either a positive or negative way. This is how the rich keep getting richer, poor poorer, healthy healthier and happy happier.
The only thing that makes you an under-achiever, ordinary or extra-ordinary is your belief system. Make it empowering and it will make you great. Make it disempowering and it destroy you.
